Trailer Of Kingston Is So Amazing That I Am Excited To Watch The Movie In Theatre: Hero Nithiin

Young hero GV Prakash Kumar, who has made a mark in south films as a music director, actor, and producer, is all set to hit the theaters with his latest movie, Kingston. This film, being made as a first-of-its-kind sea adventure fantasy movie, features him and Divyabharathi as the lead pair, reuniting after their collaboration in Bachelor.

Directed by Kamal Prakash, Kingston is produced by GV Prakash’s Parallel Universe Pictures in association with Zee Studios. The trailer, which has already been released, has heightened audience expectations. Kingston is scheduled to release on March 7th in both Tamil and Telugu. In Telugu, the film is being presented by Maheswara Reddy of Gang Entertainments.

To celebrate the upcoming release, a pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on Monday night. The event was graced by actor Nithiin, directors Venky Kudumula and Venky Atluri, as well as Producer Ravi Shankar from Mythri Movie Makers.

Nithiin said, “Kingston’s trailer looks stunning, and the visuals are fantastic. I congratulate director Kamal for delivering such spectacular visuals. If the trailer is this amazing, I can’t wait to see how the film turns out. I am eagerly waiting for the release on March 7, and I strongly believe that this film will be a visual feast for the audience. This is the first sea fantasy adventure thriller, and I sincerely hope it does exceptionally well.” Praising actress Divyabharathi, Nithiin said, “Divya, your Telugu is really good! When girls like you make cute little mistakes while speaking, guys like us find it very endearing. Your efforts are commendable!” He further added, “Maheshwara Reddy, who is like a close family friend to me, has taken up the release of this film. I wish the movie becomes a big hit and brings the team a great success.”

Actor Nithiin playfully asked GV Prakash how he managed to juggle multiple films as a hero each year, compose music for various projects, and still deliver blockbuster songs that earned him awards. He joked that if Prakash revealed his secret, he and Venky would learn from him. In response, GV Prakash humbly stated that there was no secret; he simply worked every day. Shifting the conversation, Nithiin asked whether Prakash preferred acting or music. To this, Prakash cleverly replied that when others preferred him, it was music, but when he had a shoot, it was acting. When questioned about which was better between Robinhood and Kingston, he humorously remarked that as long as his friends were around, the former was the best, but once they left, Kingston took the top spot.

GV Prakash touched upon the music for Robinhood. “The comedy and action portions are amazing. I have already watched the movie, and I am eagerly waiting for its release. Nithin has acted brilliantly in it,” the composer said. Then, Nithin jokingly said, “I didn’t come to this movie event because you or Venky invited me. I came because if I showed up, you would make the background score even better for my movie.” To this, GV Prakash laughed and replied, “The BGM is already done, sir!” Nithin then added, “Both movies should be blockbuster hits. Since our Mythri Sashi sir is releasing both film, and my birthday is on March 13, I will throw a big party that day. It will be a ‘Kingston’ and ‘Robinhood’ success party.”

GV Prakash Kumar said, “I have done only one movie with him. With just one message, Nithin and Venky Kudumula came all the way here to support us, and I am very thankful for that. Special thanks to Venky Kudumula garu for supporting us. I started working on ‘Robinhood’ with producer Ravi Shankar, and now I am also working on ‘Good Bad Ugly.’ Thanks to Ravi garu for giving me this opportunity and for coming all the way here to bless us. I would also like to thank the distributor, Ganga Entertainments’ Maheshwara Reddy garu, who is bringing this movie to the Telugu audience.

My Telugu journey started with Karunakaran sir’s film ‘Darling’, starring Prabhas. Later, I worked on movies like ‘Ullasanga Utsahanga’. After that, I had a long gap, but I restarted my journey with Venky Atluri’s ‘Vaathi.’ The ‘Mastaaru’ song from this film became a bigger hit in Telugu than in Tamil, and I am very grateful for that. ‘Kingston’ is a big dream for me. This is my first movie as a producer. Watching multi-universe films like ‘Harry Potter’ always felt like stepping into a dream. Inspired by such films, I made this movie—but I didn’t copy any Hollywood film.

I wanted to create a visual wonder with high standards. ‘Kingston’ is just the starting point; many parts will follow. This is a dream project for Parallel Universe Pictures. I sincerely thank Zee Studios for associating with us and co-producing this film. I also extend my gratitude to the entire cast, technical team, and executive producers. This is the second film in my combination with Divyabharathi after ‘Bachelor.’ I hope this film will be a great cinematic experience for all of you. It is a movie that must be watched on the big screen. Please watch ‘Kingston’ in theaters on March 7. I express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us in bringing this film to Telugu audiences.”

Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers said, “GV Prakash Kumar showed us the teaser of ‘Kingston’ around 7–8 months ago. We were shocked by the budget and visuals he mentioned. Now, looking at the trailer, it feels absolutely mind-blowing—something never seen before in the world. A film like this should be experienced only in theaters. The team has worked so hard on this project for years, striving to bring the best quality since the COVID times. Now, seeing the result, it feels like all their hard work has paid off. I sincerely wish for this movie to be a super-duper success.”

Director Venky Atluri said, “When I started working on ‘Lucky Bhaskar,’ ‘Kingston’ had just begun production. I am surprised to see such high-quality output within this budget. Director Kamal must be appreciated for crafting an amazing CGI-driven film. I can’t reveal the numbers, but achieving this level of quality on a decent budget is truly surprising. A big congratulations to the CGI team! Kudos to the production team, and everyone involved. I struggled for nearly eight years for one opportunity, so it’s commendable that you’re giving a new director a big break. I hope actress Divya continues to do more Telugu films. Stars who have worked with GV have all gone on to become big names. This is my first time meeting Sashi Sir. The films you have distributed—whether from Tamil to Telugu or straight Telugu—have been impactful. Wishing Zee Studios even more success for supporting such great films.”

Director Venky Kudumula said, “Basically, GV is an amazing person. The beautiful thing about him is that no matter where he is, he always answers the call. If you meet him, he starts composing right then and there. I have never seen anyone plan their 24 hours in a day so efficiently. If I had met GV Prakash earlier, I wouldn’t have had this five-year gap. GV bro is such a talented human being—I am a big fan of his music. He also has great command over acting, cinematography, and lenses. On top of that, he even produced this film. He is a very passionate person. When I saw the visuals of ‘Kingston,’ I was stunned. The trailer is fantastic. I believe that Maheswara Reddy, who backed this film, and Zee Studios will make good profits, and I sincerely hope they do. Everyone, watch ‘Kingston’ on March 7. With this film, GV Prakash Kumar will not only establish a dedicated fan base for his music in Telugu but will also gain a separate fan base as a hero.”

Distributor Mythri Sashidhar Reddy on ‘Kingston’ said, “The trailer for ‘Kingston’ was released three days ago, and we watched the one presented by Maheswara Reddy. It looks amazing. I strongly believe that when audiences watch this movie on the big screen, they will feel the same way. I encourage everyone to watch this film in theaters, and I hope it becomes a huge hit.”
