Tollywood celebrities meeting with AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy went off in the most conducive manner. According to the latest AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to allocate 350acres of land in Visakhapatnam for the construction of studios.
Mega Star Chiranjeevi who led the delegation of Tollywood celebrities after the meeting, speaking to scribes said AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy allocated 350 acres of land for Tollywood in Visakhapatnam and he already passed the GO. He said CM Jagan gave permissions for film and TV shoots starting from June 15.
Minister Perni Nani speaking to scribes said if Tollywood celebrities wish to come to Visakhapatnam, they would be given lands at a cheaper rate. He also said that Film celebrities will be given Housing Schemes.
The efforts to shift Tollywood to Visakhapatnam started during Chandra Babu’s regime after the separation of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. But Telangana CM KCR’s initiative ensured that Tollywood does not look towards Visakhapatnam. During that time KCR and KTR went on record that Tollywood would shift to Visakhapatnam and they have to develop separate film industry in the state highlighting Telangana culture. The question is will Tollywood shift to Visakhapatnam after Jagan’s gifts.?
