It is known Netflix and Arka Media kick-started a web series with the title Baahubali: Before the beginning a year or so ago. Praveen Sattaru and Deva Katta were assigned with the directorial duties. Rajamouli directed the first episode of the web series which is based on the epic Baahubali duology.
However, the web series has reportedly been scrapped as Netflix and Arka Media are dissatisfied with the footage that was churned out by Praveen and Deva. They are planning to reshoot the web series right from the start now.
It is said that Rajamouli will be more proactive during the production of this web series this time around. He will monitor the final output from time to time and also provide key inputs to the direction team. He will be revamping the web series.
Netflix and Arka Media are ready to spend big on the project again. The shooting will be commencing in the next few months.
