Recently Raviteja’s new project was titled as Tiger with the caption Nageswara Rao under the direction of Vamsee. The film will be produced by Abhishek Agarwal. Sometime back Bellamkonda Suresh announced a project Stuartpuram Donga with his son Sreenivas in lead under the direction of newcomer KS. Now these two biopics on Tiger Nageswara Rao seems to be landing in a controversy.
Vamsee longtime back in 2017 announced a project with Sreenivas as hero based on Tiger Nageswara Rao to be produced by Abhishek Agarwal. But the project did not take off. Vamsee said he has been working on the script since four years and when the project did not happen with Sreenivas, he informed Bellamkonda Suresh and walked out of it and now got the green signal from Raviteja.
He says “I’d even met the family members of Tiger Nageswara Rao and procured all the permissions and legal rights and NOCs from his family members around directing the biopic.” He added “I plan to execute it to the best of my ability. I’m not concerned about anything else for now. But if I find any similarities between my story and others (referring to Bellamkonda Suresh), I’ll fight for it,”
Bellamkonda Suresh however says “Why do I need rights? Anyone can make a film on Gandhiji, right? So where’s the question of legalities and rights? Everyone knows about the life of Tiger Nageswara Rao and his profile is in the public domain and anyone can make a film,” Abhishek Agarwal however adds “Tiger Nageswara Rao’s profile may be public, but there are some personality traits, which only his family knows. His family has shared all such finer points and in-depth details about him only with us,”
