It is known that there is a dispute between lady superstar Nayanthara and Tamil star actor Dhanush regarding the documentary ‘Nayantara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’. Two days ago, Dhanush filed a lawsuit against Nayan’s couple in the Madras High Court for using a three-second clipping from the movie ‘Nenu Rowdeene’ without permission in Nayan’s documentary.
Nayan’s lawyer recently responded to this. It has been clarified that there is no copyright infringement in the documentary. He said that the visuals used in the documentary are not those of the movie. It is clear that they are related to BTS. It is part of personal library. So it does not come under the violation, he told an English media. On the other hand, the next hearing in the Madras High Court regarding this case will be held on December 2 (Monday).
Meanwhile, it is known that the war between Nayan and Dhanush has been going on for some time now. Popular OTT platform Netflix has made a documentary ‘Nayantara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’ about Nayanthara’s marriage and her journey. This documentary is currently streaming on OTT. However, in this documentary, the shooting clippings of the movie ‘Nenu Rowdeene’, produced by Dhanush, have been used.
Dhanush demanded a compensation of Rs. 10 crore as there was no permission to use that clipping in the documentary. Legal notices have also been sent to Nayanthara to this extent. Nayanthara released an open letter targeting Dhanush. She decided that she would settle it legally. Currently, this affair has become a hot topic of discussion in the Tamil film industry. In this order, Dhanush’s approach to the court has now become a hot topic.
