Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan’s recent remarks on human trafficking and alleged connections with volunteers in Andhra Pradesh have sparked a series of counterattacks. Seizing the opportunity, the YCP government is actively capitalizing on this situation, with various leaders holding press conferences to retaliate against Kalyan’s statements.
During a recent press meet, AP Tourism Minister Roja vehemently criticized Pawan Kalyan. Referring to data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), she highlighted that Andhra Pradesh does not feature among the top ten states with the highest number of missing cases. She pointed out that Telangana, with 13,360 missing cases, ranks sixth in the country.
Roja questioned why Kalyan doesn’t hold Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s government accountable for the missing cases and accused him of being silent due to his political interests in Hyderabad. Regarding Kalyan’s claims that his mother and wife were targeted by YCP leaders, Roja shared a tweet from 2018 where Kalyan had vowed to defend his mother’s honor at any cost.
Roja contended that it was actually leaders from the TDP who had mistreated Kalyan’s family. She further criticized Kalyan, stating that he was now campaigning for Chandrababu Naidu and had failed as a politician, unable to even secure victory as a ward member. The ruling party seems to be relentlessly attacking Pawan Kalyan from all angles, making it a challenging time for the Jana Sena leader. It appears that this calculated move by the ruling party might not have been in Kalyan’s favor.
