Vijayakanth, the 71-year-old actor and DMDK chief, passed away today at a Chennai hospital. He had been placed on ventilatory support after testing positive for Covid-19.
According to the hospital’s statement, “Captain Vijayakanth was on ventilatory support due to pneumonia. Despite the dedicated efforts of the medical team, he succumbed this morning on December 28th, 2023.”
