The world of cinema is full of surprises, and one such recent surprise was the replacement of Raashi Khanna by Tamannah for the role of Avantika in the iconic Indian film Baahubali. Not many knew that Raashi Khanna was one of the many aspiring actors who auditioned for the role of Avantika in the epic blockbuster movie Baahubali.
However, the director of the movie, S.S. Rajamouli, felt that she was too cute for the character and decided to refer her to his friend, the producer, who was casting for his movie Oohalu Gusa Gusalade.
With Raashi Khanna not being picked, the role of Avantika ultimately went to Tamannah Bhatia, who did an excellent job of portraying the fierce warrior princess. More interestingly, it was reported that the Avantika role was initially offered to Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, but she turned it down. It is unclear why Sonam declined the role, but it can be said that Tamannah did complete justice to it with her powerful performance.
