Remember Karan Deol, who made his debut with his father Sunny Deol’s directorial Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. However, despite intense promotion by the Deol family including Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Karan Deol on various shows and platforms, the film failed to sync with the audiences.
However, Karan Deol has every reason to celebrate now. “On the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, elated to announce Apne 2,” he wrote on his twitter handle. The film is being made by Deepak Mukut on Soham Rockstar Entertainment’s banner. It will be directed by Anil Sharma who is best known for Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. In fact, Anil Sharma had earlier directed Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in Apne, which was the first film in which all three Deols came together. The sports drama was appreciated for its focus on family values and emotions at the time of its release, both by critics and audiences.
Now, in Apne 2, all Deol fans will get to see three generations of the family together. The film will have Karan Deol along with his dad Sunny Deol, uncle Bobby Deol and grandfather veteran superstar Dharmendra.
Apne 2 will go on to the sets in March 2021 and will be shot extensively in Mumbai and London. The film will be released as a treat for Deol fans on Diwali, 2021.
