Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut is set to step into active politics, gearing up for her political debut by contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024 as a BJP candidate. Her father, Amardeep Ranaut, confirmed Kangana’s political entry and mentioned that specifics regarding her constituency will depend on the BJP’s decision.
A recent meeting between Kangana Ranaut and BJP’s National President JP Nadda at her Kullu residence fueled speculation about the actress venturing into politics with the support of the ruling party. Over the past years, Kangana has been an ardent supporter of the BJP, openly expressing her alignment with the party’s political and religious ideologies.
Kangana hails from the Sarahan village in the Sarkaghat constituency of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh. She had previously disclosed her political ambitions during a media interaction in Dwarka a few months ago. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kangana is currently filming an unnamed psychological thriller alongside her co-star from “Tanu Weds Manu,” Madhavan.
