Rebel Star Prabhas’ Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire has wreaked havoc at the box office in its initial ten days. Although the film experienced a slowdown after New Year’s Eve, it successfully recouped most of the investments by the buyers during its impressive first week at the ticket windows. Its clash with Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki impacted its performance in the Hindi language, but the movie has still crossed the milestone of Rs 600 Crores in worldwide gross, with a significant contribution from South Indian states.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, this action-packed drama features Shruti Haasan as the female lead. Despite earlier speculations about Netflix potentially streaming the blockbuster Salaar during the Sankranthi festival, this did not materialize. However, a new buzz circulating on social media suggests that Salaar might be available for streaming on Netflix starting February 4, 2024. Nevertheless, there has been no official confirmation regarding this speculation.
Salaar Part 2: Shauryaanga Parvam is anticipated to commence filming in the summer, with a planned release in December of the same year. Reports indicate that 40% of the film has already been shot in conjunction with Part 1. The team is considering new casting additions to enhance the film’s value and hype, pondering potential actors for these roles.
Salaar boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Easwari Rao, and Tinnu Anand in pivotal roles. Produced by Hombale Films, Salaar is further enriched by the musical brilliance of Ravi Basrur. The audience’s anticipation for the potential Netflix release of Salaar continues to generate excitement, although there has been no official confirmation yet.
