With rapid advancements in technology, the global entertainment industry is scaling new heights every day—especially cinema, which has evolved from the silver screen to television and now to mobile phones. Amid this dynamic growth, Dubai-based Royal Rapture has now stepped into the Indian OTT space with the launch of its digital platform, ‘TBD’ (Tribhāndhāri), aiming to create a revolution. We will not include vulgar or adult content; except for sexual content, we will stream everything else. All Indian language films—old or new—are welcome on TBD. The subscription fee is just ₹10 per month, which is something never seen before in the history of OTT platforms worldwide.
The Telugu industry has now achieved global recognition, and I have a special love for Hyderabad. We are proud to have talented individuals like D.S. Rao and V. Samudra as our South CEOs. Their long-standing experience in the film industry will be invaluable for TBD’s growth. Even though there are already several OTT platforms, there is still space for new players with strong content. We believe in quality, clean, and meaningful entertainment. Along with our in-house productions, we’ll also acquire and showcase external content. We’ll give a strong platform to small producers and ensure fair and transparent payments. Our goal is to entertain audiences and establish TBD as a long-standing, trusted brand in the OTT sector.”
South CEO D.S. Rao’s : : Thank you to everyone who joined us today. Having worked in the industry for over 30 years as an artist and producer, I’ve seen both the highs and lows. Small producers are facing significant challenges in the OTT business—many don’t even know whom to approach or how to sell their films. At such a time, the launch of TBD OTT is a blessing. When Mr. Gupta discussed this project, I told him that if we are honest and prompt with payments, everyone will automatically trust and approach us. This will be a great platform for small films, and along with Mr. Samudra, I’ll work tirelessly to make TBD one of the top OTT brands in the country.
South CEO V. Samudra’s : Thanks to everyone attending today’s event.I’m grateful to Mr. Gupta and Mr. Sunil for choosing the Telugu film industry as the first region to launch TBD in South India.Though TBD is based in Dubai, it will operate globally. I am confident it will soon become one of the leading OTT platforms.Producers are struggling a lot in the OTT space, and TBD will provide a perfect solution. Mr. D.S. Rao and I will always be available to support and collaborate with creators who produce good content. We plan to acquire films, web series, and entertainment content from all languages. In addition to streaming, we’ll also co-produce and finance projects. We’re even entering the music sector soon. Our upcoming film ‘Do Kamine’ has already been acquired by TBD. We thank Mr. Gupta for trusting us with this responsibility.”
