Ravi Babu, one of Telugu cinema’s most fearless and unpredictable storytellers, returns with Razor- a darker, sharper, and more violent shift from his previous outings. Presented by Suresh Babu under Suresh Productions and produced by Flying Frogs, the film has officially sealed its worldwide theatrical release for May 8, 2026, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Ravi Babu’s father, the late Chalapathi Rao.
After delivering the lighter-toned Enuguthondam Ghatikachalam, Ravi Babu now dives headfirst into a world stitched with tension, brutality, and psychological chaos. Taking on dual responsibilities as director and lead actor, he brings a raw, unsettling edge to Razor.
Following strong traction from the title announcement, the latest release-date glimpse has intensified buzz further. The previously released footage showed Ravi Babu in a spine-chilling avatar.
The team also unveiled a fresh set of posters, showcasing Ravi Babu amid urban grit, industrial shadows, and in one striking frame, navigating a chaotic street alongside a young girl, hinting at an emotional undercurrent within the violence.
The film’s shoot was wrapped in February, and post-production, including dubbing, is now complete. With finishing work underway, Razor is gearing up to slice into theatres this summer as one of the boldest and most unconventional thrillers in Telugu cinema.
Written and directed by Ravi Babu, with Charan Madhavaneni on cinematography, SS Rajesh composing the music, and Satish Poloju handling action choreography, Razor promises an intense theatrical experience when it releases on May 8th.
