The success of Baahubali was a game-changer for Prabhas, and it catapulted him to unprecedented heights of stardom. After the tremendous success of Baahubali, he couldn’t replicate the same success with his subsequent movies ‘Saaho’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’. Despite having a massive fan following, these films failed to live up to the expectations of the audience and critics alike.
Despite the back-to-back flops, Prabhas has several upcoming projects in the pipeline, including ‘Aadipurush,’ ‘Salaar,’ ‘Project K,’ Marthi’s movie, and ‘Spirit.’ However, none of these movies seem to have created any significant buzz among the audience. The exception is ‘Salaar,’ an action-thriller directed by Prashanth Neel of ‘KGF’ fame, which has created some buzz due to the director’s previous success.
According to sources, Prabhas and director SS Rajamouli, who helmed the Baahubali series, will be meeting soon to discuss a new project, and a crazy announcement is expected in May or June this year. It remains to be seen whether the Rajamouli-Prabhas combination will be repeated or not as Rajamouli is currently occupied with Mahesh Babu’s movie, which is slated to release in 2024.
