Rajinikanth’s Peddanna released today as a Diwali special. Here is the film’s review.

Everyone in Kolkota starts wondering who could be Peddanna who is taking on the mighty mafia of Manoj Parikar (Abhimanyu Singh). Peddanna aka Veranna (Rajinikanth) starts telling his story and how he landed in Kolkota from Rajole. To find out the secrets and how it is related to his sister Kanakam (Keerthi Suresh), lawyer Parvatamma (Nayanatara), Maheswari (Meena), Rajeswari (Khushboo) and Uddav Parikar (Jagapathi Babu), watch Peddanna.

Siruttai Shiva came with a routine story and it doesn’t generate interest in any manner right from the start. Even the screenplay and direction turns predictable and tests the patience of the viewers. He failed completely in his execution. Rajinikanth performed well but due to weak script he couldn’t power the film in any manner. Keerthi Suresh did well in the role of his sister. Nayanatara is ok in the role of lawyer while Meena and Khushboo got inconsequential roles. Abhimanyu Singh , Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu looked menacing. Others performed accordingly.

Imman’s music and BGM failed to make any impact. Editing left a lot to be desired. Cinematography is good.
