Nasseer Clarifies On Pawan Kalyan’s Comments

Tamil actor Nasser has addressed the recent controversy surrounding the inclusion of artists in the film industry. The issue arose when the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) introduced rules stating that Tamil films must employ only Tamil artists.

Nasser’s statement comes in response to Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan’s call for a more inclusive approach, urging the industry to think beyond narrow mindsets and promote collaboration.

The veteran actor emphasized that the misinterpretation of the rule should not be taken seriously. He stressed the importance of working together to create exceptional films that can resonate globally.

In a 2-minute video, Nasser highlighted that the film industry is now in an era of Pan-Indian and global films, where talents from different language industries are increasingly involved. He clarified that the rule introduced by Mr. Selvamani, the head of FEFSI, is meant to safeguard workers’ interests within Tamil Nadu’s boundaries and does not affect actors and other talents from various linguistic backgrounds.

Nasser also celebrated Tamil Nadu’s rich history of embracing actors and talent from other language industries. He mentioned iconic figures like SV Ranga Rao and Savitri, who hailed from different linguistic backgrounds but were wholeheartedly welcomed and loved by the Tamil industry.
