It was almost certain that Nagarjuna would collaborate with writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada for a movie that would mark his directorial debut. The film drew inspiration from the Malayalam movie ‘Porinju Mariam Jose,’ and the Telugu remake rights issue was resolved, paving the way for the project to begin.
However, the project has hit another roadblock, and producer Srinivasa Chitturi hinted at this during a Telugu media interaction as part of promoting the movie ‘Custody.’
When asked about the project, Srinivas confirmed that it would definitely happen but did not reveal whether Prasanna would direct it or not, leaving this detail to be announced later.
Prasanna is a sought-after writer in Tollywood, and he gained more attention and fame for his work in the recent blockbuster ‘Dhamaka’ than director Trinadha Rao. He hoped to make his directorial debut with Nagarjuna’s movie, but it seems to have hit a speed bump.
Although it is understood that Prasanna is indeed working on the script for Nagarjuna’s film, there is confusion over whether he will direct the movie or if it will be assigned to another director.
If Prasanna does not get to direct the project, it would be a significant disappointment for him after hoping to direct Nagarjuna in his maiden directorial venture. Further clarity on the matter will likely emerge once the project begins filming.
