Released amid significant anticipation, Mahesh Babu’s “Guntur Kaaram” has failed to meet expectations, resulting in dwindling audiences from the second day onwards. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film received mixed reviews from critics. In response to the underwhelming performance, producer Naga Vamsi of Haarika and Hassine Creations, the banner behind the film, held a press meet.
Naga Vamsi acknowledged that screening 1 AM shows for a family entertainer was a mistake. He explained, “’Salaar’ is a mass film, and when fans watched 1 AM shows, they got that high. However, ‘Guntur Kaaram’ is a Trivikram-marked family entertainer. The mistake I made was screening 1 AM shows, which was reflected in the result.”
Reflecting on the film’s projection, Naga Vamsi admitted, “We felt the film wasn’t projected properly. Maybe we could’ve avoided the 1 AM show, but the movie gained steam eventually. There was no compromise on quality despite the time pressure. It is truly the content that has reached out to viewers.”
The producer emphasized that despite the initial setback, the film has found its audience, and its quality content is gradually making an impact.
