Naga Chaitanya’s recent appearance was in the cop action drama “Custody,” directed by Venkat Prabhu, which unfortunately didn’t meet expected results. Presently, he’s engaged in his 23rd film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti.
In addition, Naga Chaitanya starred in the supernatural web series “Dootha,” marking his digital debut under the direction of filmmaker Vikram K. Kumar. Initially planned for release in the first quarter of 2023, the series faced delays. However, the OTT platform has announced that the release date will be disclosed tomorrow at noon.
Explaining the delay in an earlier interview, Naga Chaitanya mentioned, “After handing over the product to Prime Video, there’s a procedural timeline of four to five months involving subtitling, dubbing in various languages, legal procedures, and due diligence. Only after completing these steps will Prime Video announce the release date.”
Produced by North Star Entertainment, “Dhootha” features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prachi Desai, and Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam in pivotal roles. The series revolves around inanimate objects becoming possessed, causing chaos among those who commit grave sins.
