Varun Sandesh is gearing up for his next film on August 2nd. His new project is titled Viraaji. Produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla under the M3 Media banner in association with Maha Movies, Viraaji marks the directorial debut of Adhyanth Harsha. Varun Sandesh today interacted with the media about the highlights of his look, the movie, and more:
Highlights:
Our director, Adhyanth Harsha, designed a completely new look for my character in the movie. I underwent a makeover that included a variety of hairstyles, nose piercings, and tattoos in two different colors. Before filming, the director explained the look for my character, Andy. After the film’s completion, I continue to sport the same look for promotional events. To be noticed and remembered, one needs to present a fresh appearance.
Viraaji is a suspense thriller. The story begins near a mental hospital, where Andy’s arrival causes chaos. The film conveys an underlying social message. My look has sparked various comments on social media, but the film addresses these reactions. After watching Viraaji, you will understand the reasons behind my makeover and appreciate Andy’s character.
The story includes many twists and turns, and we are confident that we have made a good movie. Preparing for my role required significant effort. I spent seven hours getting my hair colored and about an hour for the tattoos. Each day, I had a snake tattoo applied.
Watching Viraaji was an emotional experience for me, especially towards the end. My wife shared the same sentiment. The movie features dialogues in both Telugu and English, which felt natural to my body language. I strive to adapt as much as possible to each film and character.
I will bear anything anyone says about me, my films, or my career. Criticism is also a part of my career as an actor. But my wife Vithika is a firebrand, which is why she spoke about my career. I am lucky to have a wife like her. I did Happy Days when I was 18 years old and have been in the industry for 17 years. I have had many experiences, which is why I don’t respond to other people’s opinions. Everyone has an opinion. We did a promotional song for this movie, and it is getting a good response. Viraaji features a wonderful BGM. The composer Paul took the movie to another level and has now signed three more big-budget projects.
We did the Viraaji tour in Andhra Pradesh, and it got a good response. The details of that tour were shared on Instagram. Viraaji is the one who gives light to those who are in darkness, which justifies the title. All elements like suspense, thriller, horror, drama, and emotion are combined in the story by director Harsha.
We are happy to release our movie through Mythri Movie Distributors. I approached them first and told them to watch a good movie. They saw it and offered to release it.
Today, the audience appreciates a movie only if there is something new. Viraaji is a movie with such novelty that the audience wants. While narrating this story, director Harsha gave very detailed BGM references. He made the movie with such perfect planning, ensuring that everything needed in a scene was worked on paper and executed perfectly.
Twelve movies are being released this week. Our movie stands out because of the promotion by our producer Mahendranath Kondla. He has a passion for cinema, and only such a producer can produce this story.
If the story is good, I am ready to do any film if I like the character. If there is a good story, I want to act in a web series. I don’t have any restrictions on doing negative characters.
