India’s leading OTT platform ZEE5, known for delivering diverse and compelling entertainment, is set to captivate audiences with its first-ever Telugu ZEE5 Original sci-fi psychological thriller series “Nayanam”. Directed by Swathi Prakash, the series will begin streaming on December 19, and its gripping trailer released on Tuesday has already sparked strong interest among viewers.
The trailer opens with a striking line:
“Eye transmitter… I can see what is happening in their lives for four minutes… Isn’t it wonderful?”
This intriguing idea lays the foundation for the story of Dr. Nayan, played by Varun Sandesh, an eye specialist conducting unauthorized experiments that grant him the extraordinary ability to peep into other people’s lives.
As his curiosity crosses moral boundaries, danger begins to surround him. A sudden attack hints at the consequences of his illegal research. The trailer reinforces its central theme with the message: When curiosity about others’ lives goes beyond limits, it becomes a threat to your own.
Priyanka Jain appears next, looking traditionally elegant, followed by a mysterious twist when a woman’s voice says, “He is ours.” Tension escalates when Dr. Nayan is confronted with the chilling question: “Have you planned another murder?”
Parallelly, a missing-person case leads to the introduction of Ali Reza as a police officer investigating a murder. His impactful line “This eye doctor has many secrets invisible to the eye” intensifies the suspense.
Nayanam promises much more than thrills. As a sci-fi psychological thriller, it explores human behavior, deception, and the terrifying pursuit of forbidden truth. How far will one go to uncover a truth capable of destroying them?
