Nandamuri Balakrishna, Pawan Kalyan and Nara Lokesh convened at the Rajahmundry Central Jail on a Thursday afternoon to meet Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Following their meeting, Pawan Kalyan addressed the media, unveiling the official alliance between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janasena.
He expressed their shared determination to prevent the YSR Congress from securing another term in office and declared, “TDP and Janasena will go for elections together.” Notably, he left the door open for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to join the alliance if they were inclined.
Meanwhile, insiders close to divulged that seat sharing arrangements have been solidified. Janasena is set to contest 28 MLA seats, while the TDP will vie for the remaining 147 seats. Discussions regarding MP seats have been deferred, with both parties speculating that Jagan may dissolve the Assembly for an early election.
The precise allocation of MP seats will be disclosed in due course to ensure a smooth transition for Janasena’s leaders and supporters. Additionally, a joint action committee will be established, featuring leaders from both parties, tasked with formulating a cohesive strategy for their joint political endeavors.
