Actor Mohan Babu’s daughter Manchu Lakshmi has created a niche for herself as a successful TV host, but her film career wasn’t successful as expected. She produced and acted in some Telugu movies but they weren’t successful. After her stint in Tollywood, she moved to the Malayalam movie industry and acted alongside Mohanlal in the recently released Monster movie.
However, she shocked everyone with her role as a Lesbian in the movie and had lip locks with the actress Honey Rose. Recently, in an interview, when was asked about lesbian relationships in a movie, to which Manchu Lakshmi’ replied, “What’s wrong with lesbian love? I have no misconceptions about gay people and lesbians.”
Manchu Lakshmi added, “Who are Shikhandi and Brihannala in our Puranas? Do you think it is wrong for them to have romance?” she asked in reverse.” Responding to the trolls, she said, “I enjoy seeing the trolls coming at me, If you can’t laugh at yourself as an artist, you can’t grow as an artist.”
Currently, she is doing a movie Agni Nakshatram in Telugu along with her father Mohan Babu. The movie is expected to have a theatrical release early next year.
