It has become a trend in recent times for films to start shooting without a complete script, which is puzzling. While this was the norm back in the day, it is surprising that this trend has continued for so long.
Many films have failed miserably due to the lack of a complete script, as seen in the recent release Agent, starring Akhil Akkineni. The film was promoted as a spy thriller, but when it was released, audiences were disappointed to find that the spy elements were missing. Even the film’s producer, Anil Sunkara, acknowledged this and took responsibility, stating that they started shooting without a complete script.
Now, it seems like the same mistake is being repeated for Mahesh Babu and Trivikram’s SMMB 28. The film was initially supposed to be an action-oriented film, but due to some reason, the genre was changed. The team started shooting for the first half because of the delay in the shoot, but even after several days, the second half of the film is still not completed.
It is worth noting that Trivikram has followed this approach for many of his films and has delivered blockbusters. However, there is a buzz that Mahesh Babu has scrapped a heavy action scene for this movie, and Trivikram hit the sets without a complete script. As a result, the movie’s shooting is taking major breaks. It remains to be seen how this film turns out.
