HYDERABAD, JUNE 22: The three-decade-old saga of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) has reached a milestone by entering into a historic tie-up with the Bollywood Artists Association. Thanks to the concerted efforts of the MAA president, Vishnu Manchu. Vishnu Manchu has started the mission of uniting all the film industries of India. Tamil/ Kannada/ Malayalam/ Hindi industries have come forward agreeing to the proposal Vishnu has proposed. In lieu of this, MAA and Cinetaa(Hindi Film and TV Association) have signed a pact.
The pact will usher in a new wave of fraternity between the artists of the Telugu film industry and the Bollywood fraternity.
Terming the development a “cordial move”, Mr. Vishnu Manchu said that the concord between the MAA and Bollywood Association would provide membership to the Bollywood artists who work in Telugu films, and vice-versa. The tie-up will also facilitate the Bollywood counterparts to enjoy crucial benefits such as health scheme and arbitration from the MAA in case of any disputes arising while working in the Telugu film industry.
“Film Fraternity As One Family”
“Reciprocation of our gesture from the Bollywood forum will expand the horizon of professional opportunities for MAA members as they become members of the Bollywood artists forum. This new beginning will soon embrace the entire fraternity of the Indian film industry. Artists from different languages and states in India are like one single family. ” Vishnu said.
Welfare Schemes For Maa Members
The MAA under the leadership of Vishnu Manchu could post some of the outstanding achievements from October 2021. They include reforms in the Enrollment of MAA membership; issuing of health scheme cards to its members; arranging periodical medical and health camps for the members through MoUs with topnotch corporate hospitals and diagnostic centers in Hyderabad; and significantly providing the old-age security pension to the poor and downtrodden artists. Financial benefits had been provided to the kin of the deceased artists below the poverty line, and support to their children’s education.
High Power Committee For Safety And Security Of Women Artists
Giving top priority to women artists, Vishnu formed an exclusive “Women artists’ empowerment panel” for their safety and security at their respective workstations. Involving experts in the field, the committee chalked out a foolproof action plan to safeguard the interests of women artists. Vishnu also roped in PadamShree awardee Ms.Suniita Krishnan to be the honorary chairman of this committee.
Special Gesture To Children Of The Film Fraternity
Mr. Vishnu Manchu, who is the Pro-Chancellor of Mohan Babu University in Tirupati, has further announced scholarships and concessions in tuition fees for children of the film fraternity seeking admission into their educational institutions.
Having promised to realize the dream of “own building” for the MAA, Vishnu Manchu said that it is on the anvil to have its fulfillment soon. Talks are on way with the Film Chamber on whose clearance and clarity. the building is being linked with.
