Many expected Prakash Raj to win the MAA elections as he enjoyed the backing of Mega Star Chiranjeevi. Though nowhere Chiranjeevi came out openly in support of Prakash Raj it was implied as Naga Babu backed him to the hilt and Pawan Kalyan spoke a couple of words in favor of him. Manchu Vishnu entered into the fray, rumors spread that political parties are getting involved as Manchu family is close to AP CM YS. Jagan. AP Minister Perni Nani took pains to announce that YSRCP is not involved in the MAA elections.
But after Manchu Vishnu’s victory, BJP Telangana leader Bandi Sanjay congratulated Manchu Vishnu with a powerful tweet. He thanked MAA voters for defeating the Tukde Tukde gang and the anti-national elements. Prakash Raj for long has been attacking BJP and PM Modi while Mohan Babu who ruled out his re-entry into politics shared that PM Modi respects him a lot and calls him Bade Bhai. To the top of it, CVL Narasimha Rao who withdrew after filing the nomination is from BJP. Considering all these aspects, the political angle in MAA cannot be ruled out.
