Hero Karthi’s much-awaited crazy multi-lingual dark comedy film Japan. Which marks his landmark 25th one is directed by Raju Murugan of Joker fame and produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures. The film’s teaser and theatrical trailer raised the bar high.
A couple of days ahead of the film’s theatrical release, the makers released an ultra-peppy song Touching Touching featuring the lead pair- Karthi and Anu Emmanuel. GV Prakash Kumar scored this groovy track, for which vocals were lent by Karthi himself, alongside Indravati Chauhan. Bhaskarabhatla penned the lyrics for this song.
Karthi appeared in a funky get-up and he nailed it with his expressions. His vocals are also terrific, whereas Indravathi added oomph with his superb singing. Anu Emmanuel looked stunning in the song shot grandly in some colourful sets.
While the teaser focussed in introducing Karthi’s peculiar character in the movie, the trailer gives us more insight into the world of Japan. He began stealing when he was 10, for his mother. He grows up to be a most wanted thief. He is the suspect in a massive heist of 200 Cr at a minister’s residence and also a murder case.
The trailer promises a hilarious and adventurous ride. What makes this extra special is the hilarious characterization of Karthi. While he looked serious at times, he was funny at the same time. He steals the show with his exceptional performance. Anu Emmanuel played the role of Karthi’s love interest.
Sunil, and Vijay Miltonare the other prominent cast of the movie for which cinematography is by S Ravi Varman. Philomin Raj is in charge of the editing. Vinesh Banglan, the National Award-winning production designer (Kammarasambhavam) is taking care of the production design for Japan.
Japan will hit the screens for this Diwali on November 10th. Annapurna Studios is releasing the movie in Telugu states.
