Whatever Karan Johar does, it is big news in Bollywood. And when the matter is big enough to make a huge headline, then it is talked about all the more. The latest piece of gossip doing rounds in Bollywood is the fall out between ace producer director Karan Johar and his once-upon-a-time friend and confidante celebrity manager Reshma Shetty.
According to Bollywood insiders, the news per se does not come as a surprise to Karan Johar’s Bollywood pals. Rumours are that the news was doing rounds since Diwali parties. There was hush-hush talk that yet another Bollywood friendship had fallen apart.
But now, it’s official. Karan Johar has ended his long-time friendship and association with Reshma Shetty of Matrix. The inside talk is that the break-up was rather ugly and the buddies parted ways. In fact, the mover and shaker of Bollywood, Karan Johar has immediately ended his contract with Matrix and he has also decided to make sure his protégés in the industry do the same.
For the uninitiated, Matrix was handling Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Siddharth Malhotra, Jahnvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Shanshank Khaitan and last but surely not the least, Karan Johar’s close buddy Manish Malhotra.
What ended on a sad note for Matrix has come as good news for another talent management company – Cornerstone. Now, Karan Johar has shifted his loyalties to the company run by Bunty Sajdeh, who happens to be brother-in-law of Salman Khan’s younger brother Sohail Khan.
Karan has in fact named the new association, Dharma Cornerstone Agency.
There was a time when Karan claimed Reshma to be a close friend, single like him and who he confided in regarding his work. As for Reshma Shetty, she first came into limelight when she worked to help Salman Khan regain his lost image.
