The official release details for Kantara 2 have been unveiled. Following the announcement of Rishab Shetty’s blockbuster Kantara’s prequel, audiences have been eagerly anticipating the sequel’s release date. Hombale Films, the producers of Kantara, currently occupied with the final touches on Salaar, have now disclosed the release plans for Kantara 2.
During promotions for Salaar, producer Vijay Kiragandur provided insights into Kantara 2’s schedule. He confirmed a grand-scale release slated for late 2024 or early 2025, targeting an early summer debut in 2025. Moreover, he clarified that Salaar stands as a distinct narrative, not a remake or extension of Ugram.
Recently, the filmmakers revealed the first look teaser for ‘Kantara Chapter 1 (Prequel),’ sparking excitement among audiences. The movie’s ceremonial launch took place on November 27 in Kundapura, Karnataka, with shooting preparations underway. Plans are set for filming in Sri Lanka and Udupi by the end of December or January.
