Kangana Ranaut has recently criticized Bollywood celebrities for their involvement with the Mahadev betting app. She disclosed that she had been approached multiple times by the company behind the app but had consistently turned down their offers. Kangana shared a news report that highlighted the association of several Bollywood stars with the Mahadev betting scam. Notable names like Ranbir Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Sonakshi Sinha, and others were reportedly under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with this case.
It’s worth mentioning that the agency clarified that Ranbir Kapoor was not considered a suspect in the investigation. Kangana expressed her concerns through a news report shared on her Instagram stories, which stated, “34 Bollywood celebrities including Sonu Sood, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sunny Leone come under ED Scanner under Mahadev betting app scam case.” Kangana added a meaningful caption to her post, saying, “I was approached by them almost six times in the past year, with increasing offers each time, but I declined every offer. Integrity is not just a personal matter anymore. This is the new India, adapt or be forced to.”
For those unfamiliar with the case, the Enforcement Directorate has taken action by freezing or seizing assets worth Rs 417 crore after conducting searches at 39 locations in Kolkata, Bhopal, and Mumbai as part of their investigation into the Mahadev Online Book betting app. This app, based in the UAE, was described by the agency as a central syndicate facilitating illegal betting websites by allowing them to onboard new users, create fake identities, and launder money through a network of anonymous bank accounts.
In addition to Ranbir and Shraddha, Huma Qureshi and Kapil Sharma were also mentioned in the Mahadev Betting case, highlighting the breadth and seriousness of the investigation.
