In his two-decade-long career, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram scored only three hits and there’s a gap of over 16 years between these hits. After the super success of Pataas, Kalyan Ram surprised everyone with the socio- fantasy Bimbisara which emerged as the biggest hit in his career.
Within a short gap, he released a new genre movie Amigos, in which he played a triple role. Though the movie was promoted extensively by the Mythri Movie Makers, Amigos turned out into an utter flop causing heavy losses to the producers.
Kalyan Ram, who announced successive parts to Bimbisara seems to be started focusing on working on them and coming out of Amigos depression soon. Though several well-wishers advised him to drop Amigos project, Kalyan Ram gave a deaf ear to them and felt sorry for ignoring their advice.
