Ustaad Ram Pothineni is taking a refreshing leap into a new genre with his upcoming film, tentatively titled RAPO22. Known for his action-packed roles, Ram is now venturing into something distinct and engaging. Today, the makers unveiled a fresh poster introducing his character, Sagar. Interestingly, this is only the character’s name and not the official title of the film.
The poster has a vibrant yet vintage vibe, highlighting Ram in a completely new avatar. With long hair, a clean-shaven look, and youthful charm, he looks strikingly younger and more relatable.
The visuals, including his retro-inspired attire, muted color palette, and a classic bicycle, transport viewers to a nostalgic setting. The introduction of Sagar as Suparichithudu (a known man) further hints at a character deeply rooted in familiarity and emotion, aligning perfectly with the vintage theme.
Directed by Mahesh Babu P, the film appears to be shaping up as a fresh and distinctive chapter in Ram’s career. The movie stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead and is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
The film also boasts a stellar technical team, with Vivek-Mervin composing the music, Madhu Neelakandan handling cinematography, Sreekar Prasad in charge of editing, and Avinash Kolla heading production design. To mark the launch of this much-anticipated film, the shooting has officially commenced today in Hyderabad.
