Jana Sena stands as the sole political party representing the South in the officially sanctioned National Democratic Alliance (NDA). This notable inclusion occurred two months ago when Pawan Kalyan, the charismatic leader of Jana Sena, received an invitation to an NDA meeting. It’s worth noting that the NDA, led by the BJP, is powerful coalition of various political entities.
Pawan Kalyan, currently engrossed in his fourth phase of the Vaaraahi Yatra in the Krishna district, has made a noticeable shift in his recent speeches. He conspicuously refrains from mentioning the BJP, focusing instead on the paramount goal of Jana Sena and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) uniting and prevailing in the forthcoming election. This shift transpired in the aftermath of the arrest of TDP President Chandrababu Naidu.
Before Naidu’s arrest, Pawan Kalyan had consistently reiterated that the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP would collaborate in the upcoming elections. However, when the BJP high command remained conspicuously silent regarding Naidu’s detention, public sentiment began to lean towards the belief that the BJP was somehow involved. In response, Pawan Kalyan seemed to alter his stance.
In recent days during his Vaaraahi Yatra, Pawan Kalyan has repeatedly asserted that Jana Sena and TDP will indeed contest together in the 2024 elections. Intriguingly, Jana Sena has also declared its intent to participate in 32 Assembly segments in the upcoming Telangana elections, even though this announcement came without the BJP’s involvement.
