Just a couple of day back, came the teaser from Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films, that they will be making the announcement for an Indian film at 2.09 pm, December 2, 2020.
Naturally, it upped the expectations of audiences in various industries. Hombale, the name behind two pan-Indian films KGF and KGF2, teased the audience without giving any details.
Rumours were rife that it would be Prabhas’ film with Prashant Neel, the director of both KGF films. This one-film sensation too kept his cards close to his heart and did not reveal any details in interviews.
While KGF was shot with the illegal mining in Karnataka as its backdrop, Hombale has now chosen Prabhas to play the protagonist in their next titled Salaar.
As has been rumoured for a very long time, Salaar will be directed by Prashant Neel once he completes KGF2, another pan-Indian film.
Hombale Films tweeted – The most violent men called one man… the most violent!!
And Vijay Kiragundar said, “@prashant neel and I come together yet again for an Indian Film that every cine lover would look up to.”
Prashant Neel has also been in talks with NTR Jr for a project, but this film finally went to Prabhas. Incidentally, Prabhas is busy with the pre-production work of Adipurush and Nag-Ashwin’s pan-Indian film opposite Deepika Padukone.
So, it remains to be seen when Hombale will start its production with Prabhas, who is now an international name thanks to Baahubali series. The cast and crew also have to be announced along with other details.
We will keep you posted.
