It’s been a while since Rana and Sai Pallavi’s Virataparvam is waiting for the release. The movie which was supposed to hit the screens long back is finally releasing on 1st July. Set in the 1990s Naxalite backdrop, Sai Pallavi’s role seems to be one of the key characters in the movie.
As per the inside reports, Sai Pallavi’s role is based on the rebel singer Belli Lalitha who led a moment against the government in the 1990s. With her popularity rising with each passing day, she was brutally killed by the gangster Nayeem’s men in 1999. The murder was very scary and created havoc in Bhuvanagiri area in 1999.
Though there is no official announcement on the movie’s story, there’s a strong buzz that Sai Pallavi’s role is loosely based on Belli Lalitha. Directed by Udugulla Venu of Needi Naadi Okate Katha the movie also has Priyamani playing a negative role in the movie.
