Nandamuri Balakrishna, one of the leading superstars in Tollywood, has had a roller-coaster ride in recent years with a string of average to below-average movies. However, in the last few months, he has managed to make a strong comeback with two back-to-back hits in the form of Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy.
For over a decade and a half, no other director except Boyapati Srinu has been able to deliver a hit with Balakrishna. Following the same pattern of Boyapati, director Gopichand Malineni delivered a hit with Veera Simha Reddy. The movie has been received well by audiences and has managed to strike a chord with Balakrishna’s fans, who have been eagerly waiting for their favourite star to deliver a hit.
Balakrishna, who is currently busy with Anil Ravipudi’s movie, seems to have decided to take a break from movies for a few months with the elections just around the corner. With his busy schedule and political commitments, Balakrishna is taking a much-needed break to rejuvenate and refresh himself before resuming work.
It’s also buzzed that Balakrishna might quit movies if TDP wins and he is offered the minister’s role. However, there is no official confirmation on the same, and it remains to be seen whether Balakrishna will take up the offer if it comes his way. Balakrishna has always been vocal about his political aspirations, and if he decides to quit movies, it will be a significant loss for the Tollywood industry.
Although there are reports of him planning to launch his son Mokshagna, there is no clarity on the same. Balakrishna has always been a family- oriented person and has always been keen to launch his son in the industry. However, the actor is yet to make an official announcement regarding his son’s debut movie.
