Rhea Chakraborty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the case to the Mumbai police in the wake of allegations made by the Bihar police. Various twists and turns in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s forced death are raising the heat even further. The case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for the third time today in the Supreme Court premises.
The decision was lauded by millions of fans on social media, including friends of the late actor Sushant’s family. Meanwhile, Rhea along with Sushant’s family members are happy that the case has been transferred to the CBI.
With the latest development, the Mumbai Police .. Rhea will have to face a CBI investigation similar to the Enforcement Directorate investigation. Counsel for Rhea stated that no matter what agency investigated the case, his client did nothing wrong.On Wednesday, the apex court asked the Mumbai police to transfer the case to the CBI and provide court evidence. The Supreme Court has ruled out the possibility of the Mumbai police challenging these orders. The Maharashtra government has denied involvement.
Responding to this, Sushant’s family lawyer praised the verdict.He said “This is a victory for Sushant Singh’s Rajput family. The Supreme Court has ruled in our favor. The court also made it clear that the FIR registered in Patna was correct.”
Also, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde issued a statement in which he referred to the Supreme Court verdict as `wanted justice ‘with the honorific text. “The Supreme Court’s decision is appropriate after considering the actual circumstances of the case. “It should be noted that Rhea herself has called for a CBI probe in the past, so it will be” desired justice, “he said.
It is interesting to note that Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer is hopeful that justice will be done to Rhea even in the Supreme Court as a whole. At the same time Sushant’s family also expressed happiness that justice would be done to them as the CBI had shifted its probe. The onus is on the CBI to ascertain the true nature of the case, regardless of anyone’s contention.
