Indian Government Reacts To Vishal’s Allegations On Censor Board

Tamil actor Vishal has made serious allegations against the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Mumbai. He claimed that he was required to pay a bribe of Rs 6.5 lakhs for obtaining Hindi censor certification for his film “Mark Antony.” In response to Vishal’s allegations, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has expressed its deep concern.

The Ministry issued a statement saying, “The allegations of corruption within the CBFC, as raised by actor Vishal, are deeply regrettable. The government maintains a strict stance against corruption and will take the most stringent measures against anyone found guilty. A senior official from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has been dispatched to Mumbai to initiate an inquiry into this matter today.”
