I-PAC, a renowned consultancy firm, recently held an extensive discussion with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his residence. The meeting, lasting over four hours, aimed to present the findings of I-PAC’s survey, revealing a worrisome reality for the ruling YSRCP party in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the I-PAC survey, there is a growing tide of unhappiness with the YSRCP government that is quickly spreading throughout the state’s urban and rural districts. People’s unhappiness has increased over the past three months, reaching levels seen during the previous general elections in March. Various factors have contributed to this widespread disillusionment, including the underperformance of certain MLAs and recent incidents that have marred the YSRCP government’s image.
Incidents such as the abduction of the Vizag MP’s family, the burning of a 16-year-old boy in Bapatla, and the assault of a woman with a tractor in Prakasam district have fueled public opposition towards the government. I-PAC has advised the government to take prompt corrective measures to address these pressing issues. Moreover, the frequent hikes in power tariffs and property taxes, along with the scarcity of sand, have further intensified public anger and resentment towards the YSRCP government.
In addition to the survey findings, I-PAC has presented a list recommending the replacement of around 40 MLAs, primarily from Coastal Andhra, before the upcoming general elections. This suggestion emphasizes the urgency for the YSRCP to address public concerns and regain the trust of the electorate to secure a favorable outcome in the forthcoming polls.
