High Command’s Silent Control In Congress Inductions

The recent developments have intensified suspicions among everyone involved. Previously, if someone from another party wanted to join the Congress, the process would mostly occur in Hyderabad. It resembled attending a formal occasion in Delhi and meeting with the high command.

Only a select few important leaders would initially engage with the high command and receive the party’s scarf in Delhi itself. Now, the dynamics have reversed. Most leaders joining the Congress engage with the Congress High Command first. PCC President Revanth Reddy, CLP Leader Bhatti Vikramarka, and former PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy are met later on a formal basis.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and PCC President DK Shivakumar act as coordinators between the high command in Delhi and the state leaders. Recently joined party members such as former MP Ponguleti Srinivasulareddy, Jupalli Krishnarao, and BRS MLC Damodar Reddy all first spoke to DK Shivakumar.

Speaking to one state leader angers others, and some seniors express concerns about the dominance of Revanth. This poses a significant challenge for those seeking to join the Congress. Therefore, they treat DK Shivakumar as the director they need to approach for joining the Congress. Their demands and assurances are discussed at the Bangalore venue.

Once they believe everything is settled, they meet Revanth and other seniors. Finally, they go to Delhi, where Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi welcome them. Prominent figures like Komati Reddy Rajagopalar Reddy, Etala Rajender, DK Aruna, and Konda Visveswara Reddy, who are likely to join the party soon, are also in contact with the high command. It appears that the high command is orchestrating the entire process while keeping the local leaders in the dark.
