In a recent press statement, veteran Indian Director Bharathi Raja expressed his admiration for Dhanush’s latest film, ‘Sir’/Vaathi”. Bharathi Raja, who has been in the Indian film industry for several decades, described the film as a special one and stressed its importance in promoting education.
“In my film career, I’ve seen a lot of milestones. Few things have stunned me. One such is Vaathi. I’m watching a lot of films, this is a special one as I’m part of it. Films should be useful to people, more than entertainment. Sir/Vaathi is one such film. Sir stresses about the importance of education,” Bharathi Raja said in the statement. Bharathi Raja went on to praise Dhanush for his responsible vision. He also spoke highly of Samuthirakani, who played a vital role in the film, and Samyuktha, who was perfectly cast in the role of a teacher. “Gv Prakash has scored music for Vaathi, he’s a blessing. He scored some great music this year. I’m sure he’ll bag national award this year. Sir is a great title, the film talks about the social responsibility of a teacher,” Bharathi Raja said.
Bharathi Raja also urged the public to watch the film in theaters. “I am just back from the movie, the way the audience enjoying the film is great. It’s one of the best films in recent times. Vaathi is a must watch in theaters. I want you to watch the film in theaters and converse with me,” Bharathi Raja concluded. “Vaathi/Sir” is a Tamil/Telugu bilingual film directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios. It stars Dhanush, Samuthirakani, and Samyuktha in lead roles, with music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film was released on February 17, 2023, and has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences.
