It’s confirmed that Anand L Rai will be directing a biopic on chess grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand, once he completes Atrangi Re. The film on Anand will be produced by Sundial Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions.
Like any biopic, the film will trace the journey of Indian grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand. And the director’s pick for the lead role happens to be Dhanush, if Bollywood circles are to be believed. Anand L Rai has a special liking for Dhanush and it will be the third time he will be casting the Ranjhana star, if things work out as planned.
Dhanush made his Bollywood debut with Anand L Rai’s Atrangi Re and now he is cast in Atrangi Re, which has Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. Sara plays a double role in the film. The shooting for Atrangi Re is presently on.
Once he completes the film, Rai will get on to his next big venture. Atrangi Re is his return after a gap of two years. He had made Zero with Shah Rukh Khan which was a huge box-office dud.
It cannot be missed that Rai has cast Dhanush in two films and wants to repeat him in another.
