Starring: Sampoornesh Babu, Sonakshi Varma, Jyothi, Jabardasth Apparao, Chalaki Chanti, Mahaboob Basha, Fish Venkat

Director: NR Reddy

Producer: RR

Music Director: David G

It was close to a decade when Sampoornesh Babu took the internet by storm with the teaser and trailers of his debut movie Hrudayakaleyam as a hero. The movie became a sensational hit making Sampoornesh Babu an overnight sensation. Barring a hit or two, none of his movies worked and Sampoornesh Babu was hardly seen as a comedian or a character artist later.

After a few debacles, Sampoornesh Babu has tried his luck once again with the recent release Dhagad Saamba. Let’s see whether the movie brings any luck to him or not.

Story:

Dhagad Samba (Sampoornesh Babu) along with his friend PK (Mahaboob Basha) comes to Hyderabad and become the tenants of a house owned by Apparao. Both the friends eventually fall in love with the daughters of the owner. While everything seems going smooth, Samba gets to know a shocking truth. What’s the truth? Why did Dhagad Samba come to Hyderabad? What happened next? To know everything, you need to watch the movie.

Plus Points:

sampoornesh Babu who evoked laughters with his previous movies has done full justice to his role and his role in Dhagad Saamba is another laugh-riot.

Apart from his comedy, his dancing skills especially the ‘Naatu Naatu’ step in the introduction song is too good.

Minus Points:

The story itself is a big drawback. Though the movie has a nice point to convey, the director kills it with poor writing and boring screenplay. The pre-climax scenes test your patience and is unbearable.

Verdict:

On the whole, Dhagad Saamba is a below-average horror-comedy movie that has nothing new to offer. You can wait to watch in OTT.
