Sarkaru vari paata  :  Superstar Mahesh Babu has been delivering hits after hits since the last few years. His recent movies Bharat Ane Nenu, Maharshi, Sarileru Neekevvaru have been big blockbusters and he’s ready for a double hattrick with Sarakaru Vari Paata.

Director Parasuram and Mahesh Babu were too confident on the movie and said the movie will have the shades of Pokiri, and Dookudu in Mahesh Babu’s character. This raised humongous expectations on the fans. Let’s see if the movie lives up to all the expectation it set or not.

Story:

Mahesh (Mahesh Babu) runs a loan recovery agency in the USA. Kalavathi (Keerthy Suresh), a casino addict borrows money from Mahesh by lying about her background.

But, sooner than later, Mahesh realizes that he’s been duped and lands in India to recover the debt from her father Rajendranath (Samuthirakhani). However, Mahesh lands up in much bigger issues in India.

What happens next is the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The first half of the movie is feast for the fans as it’s fully occupied with Mahesh Babu’s trademark comic timing. However, the latter half goes flat with some preachy messages taking the movie on a dull note.

Instead of focusing on story, director Parasuram seems to be heavily banked on Mahesh Babu’s image.

The songs are good, fights are not up to the mark and the VFX work is not topnotch.

Positives:

Mahesh Babu and his comic timing

First half

Songs

Negatives:

Flat narration in the second half

Verdict:

On the whole, Sarakaru Vaari Paata doesn’t live up to the hype it created, but a decent watch, may not be a record-breaking blockbuster.
