CHOR BAZAR MOVIE REVIEW

Starring: Akash Puri, Gehana Sippy, Sunil, Subbaraju

Director: Jeevan Reddy

Producer: VS Raju

Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri is trying hard to make his mark as a hero since the last few years. Puri Jagannadh who made stars like Ravi Teja, Mahesh Babu, has however, couldn’t give stardom to his brother Sai Ram Shankar and his son Akash Puri.

The young actor who tried his luck as a hero with movies like Andhra Pori, Mehbooba, Romantic has pinned all his hopes on the latest release Chor Bazar. Let’s see whether he scores a hit with this or not.

Story:

Bachchan Saab (Akash Puri) is a local guy who controls the Chor Bazaar area in Hyderabad. He falls in love with a beautiful but a mute girl Simran (Gehran Sippy). When everything seems going smooth, a 200-year-old precious diamond goes missing from a museum in Hyderabad. Where did the diamond go? Does Bachchan Saab face any difficulties in this and will Gabbar Singh (Subbaraju) who dreams of shutting down the Chor Bazaar succeed is the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Director Jeevan Reddy has handled the novel concept pretty well. Though the movie starts off on an interesting note, the movie goes haywire and lack of gripping elements fails to create any impact. Though the director has chosen the diamond theft as the core theme, he incorporated other issues like women trafficking, love story and a few other stories which leaves you confused.

Verdict:

On the whole, Chor Bazaar fails to thrill and excite the audience making the movie a tedious watch.
