Chiranjeevi Learns From Venkatesh

Television, once considered as the poor cousin of cinema, has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent times. With the advent of daily serials, television has gained immense popularity in India. However, it was still overlooked by many actors, technicians, and directors who sought recognition in the film industry. But with the emergence of OTTs and web series, television has finally taken its place under the spotlight.

Web series, a relatively new phenomenon, has taken the digital space by storm. Actors, technicians, and directors who struggled to make it big in films are now gaining appreciation and recognition through web series. The rise of web series has opened new avenues for artists to showcase their talent, and many have received critical acclaim and fan following through their digital ventures.

Even mainstream actors like Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rana Daggubati have ventured into the digital space and have been part of successful web series. Most recently, Venkatesh Daggubati made his digital debut with the popular web series ‘Rana Naidu’ on Netflix.

However, not everyone is convinced about the digital space. Chiranjeevi, the Megastar of Telugu cinema, was excited about entering the digital space, but recent events seem to have changed his mind. Reports suggest that Chiranjeevi was offered a web series by a leading production house, but he rejected the offer after seeing Venkatesh getting trolled for accepting a ‘cheap role’ in Rana Naidu.

Venkatesh’s role in ‘Rana Naidu’ was criticized by some fans, who felt that the actor had stooped low by accepting such a role. Chiranjeevi, who has built his career on a clean and wholesome image, didn’t want to spoil his reputation by getting trolled on social media. Hence, he decided to stay away from the digital space, at least for now.
