Rakul Preet Singh who was the leading heroine in Telugu till a few years ago has faded away after the failure of Spyder movie and is concentrating on Hindi movies. Though she didn’t have much success in Hindi, the actress is trying her luck. Her latest movie Chattriwali opted for an OTT release and it’s streaming on ZEE5. Let’s see what the
movie is all about.

Story:

Ratan Lamba (Satish Kaushik) from the small town of Karnal runs a condom company and is in need of a condom quality control head. On the other hand, Sanya Dhingra (Rakul Preet Singh) from the same town, is in need of a job. She takes tuition for school children to make a living. One day Ratan meets Sanya and after getting impressed by her skills, he offers him the job of the quality checker. Though Sanya doesn’t like the job, she grabs it as she badly needs money. Sanya gets married to Rishi (Sumeet Vyas), who hails from a conservative family. However, Sanya doesn’t reveal the details of her job in the maternal house. As days pass by, Sanya ends up liking her job. Finally, Rishi’s family gets to know about Sanya’s job. What did Sanya do then? What happened next? The movie has the answers.

Verdict:

On the whole, Chattriwali is a film that highlights the importance of sex education in the country. The movie is a decent entertainer, Rakul Preet and strong second half make the movie worth watching.
