By now, everyone knows it that star heroine Anushka Shetty’s 2018 film, Bhaagamathie is being remade in Hindi. Ashok, who directed the Telugu version is helming the Hindi remake version also.
Starring Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role, the makers have already announced that the film will skip its theatrical release and go for a direct OTT streaming on popular digital platform Amazon Prime.
A couple of months back, the Amazon management also revealed that the film will be premiering on December 11, 2020. Meanwhile, the latest news is that the film’s title has been changed as Durgamati after facing heat from a few religious organizations.
A new poster with the changed title was released earlier today by Amazon Prime management.
Durgamati is originally bankrolled by actor Akshay Kumar in association with T-Series and Vaicom18.
