CBN’s Bold Step For Family’s Political Future

In line with his strong belief in family ties, N. Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the TDP (Telugu Desam Party). Is reportedly considering stepping back from contesting in a constituency to support his sister-in-law Purandeswari’s son, Hitesh Chenchuram, in the upcoming elections. Purandeswari, who is Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari’s sister and heads the Andhra Pradesh BJP, aims to introduce her son, Hitesh, into politics by fielding him from a constituency that holds familial significance in the 2024 elections.

The chosen constituency, Parchuru Assembly, located in Bapatla district, has historical ties to their family and is also a stronghold of the TDP. Interestingly, the current scenario involves strategic maneuvering within the political landscape. Yeluri Sambasiva Rao, a previous TDP candidate who won from the same Parchuru constituency twice, may be relocated to Cheerala in 2024, allowing the space for Hitesh’s candidacy.

The history of political victories in Parchuru reveals the dynamics within the family. Purandeswari’s husband, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, previously secured wins in this constituency under different party banners. Now, she is planning to pave the way for her son’s political career from the same constituency, supported by Naidu’s willingness to sacrifice his party’s stronghold for family unity.

Purandeswari is strategizing to position Hitesh as a joint candidate representing TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP, believing that this alliance would enhance his chances of winning. This move underscores the significance of familial bonds and the intricate interplay between personal relationships and political aspirations in the electoral arena.
