BJP’s Struggle With Kavita’s Controversy?

The BJP is facing confusion regarding senior leaders Komati Reddy Rajagopal Reddy and Etala Rajender. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has met with them twice in three days, attracting the attention of party members. Komati Reddy’s intention to resign from the BJP and join the Congress is widely known.

Speculations about their involvement in the party have emerged, as they have a strained relationship with party president Bandi Sanjay. Amit Shah summoned them to Delhi, where their main demand is the arrest of Kavita Kalvakuntla, allegedly the mastermind behind a Delhi liquor scam.

They question why the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has not arrested her, citing the flawed agreement between the BRS-BJP alliance and public condemnation. The Congress has accused the BJP of protecting Kavita due to their fraudulent agreement. The BJP leaders are on the defensive, insisting on Kavita’s immediate arrest to counter the allegations.

Amit Shah has been unable to provide satisfactory answers, prompting speculation that these leaders may leave the BJP due to a lack of trust. Amit Shah’s prioritization of these meetings indicates their significance. Sources within the BJP reveal his inability to address Kavita’s arrest. There is anticipation surrounding Komati Reddy’s actions upon returning to Hyderabad, while Etala Rajender is expected to arrive in Hyderabad by Monday evening. Some suggest Etala may remain in Delhi to engage with Congress leadership. The ultimate outcome remains uncertain.
